A 2007 graduate of UIC and four-time letterwinner in volleyball, Kozak returns to her alma mater to serve as the Assistant Director of Development and Special Events. A position she began in August of 2011.

Prior to UIC, Kozak was a sales associate and party planner at Bar1 Events in Chicago, Ill. During her two years at Bar1 Events, Kozak planned and organized events and fundraisers, while attending events to ensure client satisfaction. Kozak utilized advertising through social networking sites to promote her events.

From November 2007 to November 2008, Kozak worked as a community relations intern with the Chicago White Sox. While there, Kozak assisted with execution and planning of White Sox Charities fundraisers. She also served as manager of the Scoreboard Message Program and coordinated the complimentary ticket program for local non-for-profit organizations.

Kozak had a one-year stint with the Windy City Thunderbolts as a community relations intern from 2007-2008. She conducted promotional game-day activities to increase fan involvement, while also planning and attending community relations-sponsored events at local hospitals, schools and festivals.

Kozak began her work experience as a marketing and advertising intern in the UIC Athletic Department. During her time as an intern, she coordinated the advertising for radio broadcasts to be used during UIC men's home basketball games. She also planned fan participation strategies to be used during UIC athletic competitions.

Kozak received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2007 from UIC and was a member of the volleyball team from 2002 through 2007. She served as team captain from 2003 until 2006. She was voted to the all-Horizon League Team during the 2003 and 2004 seasons and Horizon League all-tournament team during the 2006 campaign. Kozak is currently the Flames all-time assists record holder.

Kozak currently resides in a suburb of Chicago, Ill., and is married to Jim Piszczor.
