John Jaramillo, who has been a member of the UIC Athletic Department since 2003, is the director of athletic communications for the Flames. Jaramillo oversees communications, media relations, various in-game operations and other external affairs aspects of the department and its 18 NCAA Division I programs. He is also the lead editor of uicflames.com and other online components. A native of Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, Jaramillo began at UIC in 2003 as an assistant sports information director before moving up to the director's chair in 2007. Jaramillo graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Science in Media Studies. |
