Robbin Cooley joined the UIC athletic staff in July of 2011 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. She serves as the primary contact for volleyball, softball and men's and women's gymnastics.
Cooley joins the UIC athletic department after working as a Media Relations Assistant intern at the University of Notre Dame from July 2010 until July 2011. While there, Cooley was the primary media relations contact for men's tennis, women's golf, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track and field and held secondary media relations responsibilities for women's soccer and men's and women's lacrosse.
Prior to Notre Dame, Cooley was a student assistant at Augustana from 2006 to 2010. She coordinated action shots, individual head shots and team photos for the athletic office. Her other duties included coordinating student-worker schedules and updating the Augustana website daily, in addition to organizing and distributing athletics newsletters, press releases and media guides.
From January to March of 2009, Cooley worked as an intern at the Elixr Health Club in Sydney, Australia. In that position she recorded and distributed minutes for weekly manager's meeting, participated in monthly marketing meetings, and was the customer assistance representative.
Cooley earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree in communication studies from Augustana in 2010.
Cooley currently resides in Chicago, Ill.
