Patrick Cogan was promoted to the Director of Corporate Partnerships in August of 2013 after serving one year as the Assistant Director.
Prior to joining the UIC staff, Cogan worked at fellow Horizon League member school, Cleveland State, from June 2010 through June 2012. During his tenure with the Vikings, he worked as a marketing intern for one year and as the Director of Corporate Sales for his second year.
Cogan served as the men's basketball student assistant coach at Indiana from 2008-2010. He managed player and team statistics in order to evaluate player performance, organized summer camps, edited video for scouting and recruiting purposes. Before assisting with the Hoosiers, he was the men's basketball student manager at Marquette from June 2007 until May 2008.
Additionally, Cogan organized a bone marrow registration drive. In one day, he assisted in recruiting over 950 individuals to sign up for the National Bone Marrow Registry. Cogan interned in the Merchandising department with the Cleveland Indians from May 2006 until December 2007.Cogan attended Marquette from August 2006 until May of 2008, before transferring to Indiana where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in general studies with a minor in sports marketing and management.
Cogan currently resides in Chicago, Ill.
