Assistant Director of Communications
Brad Taylor joined UIC in Sept. of 2013 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Taylor works directly with the volleyball, women's basketball, and women's golf programs.
Taylor served as the Director of Volleyball Operations at Western Illinois from May 2012 to December 2012, where he managed team travel, finances, community service projects and camps, and directed and implemented fundraising functions.
From 2010-12, Taylor was the graduate assistant for the Athletics Media Services Department at Western Illinois. While there, he was the primary media contact for volleyball and track and field programs, and the secondary contact for the men's basketball and baseball programs. He assisted in the WIU Athletics webpage redesign, produced weekly media notes, created television commercials and was responsible for streaming live event broadcasts.
From 2009-12, Taylor interned with the Partnership Activation Department for the Chicago Bears, where he set up and administered the promotions for the Bears' corporate partners and served as the liaison between Bears' alumni and corporate sponsor groups.
As the Student Assistant for the Athletics Media Relations Department at Northern Illinois (2007-10), Taylor was the primary media contact for men's and women's tennis programs, served as the Assistant Editor for the gameday football and basketball programs, and wrote feature stories for football gameday programs.
While Taylor attended Benedictine University from 2006-07, he worked as a sports staff writer for the student newspaper, the Candor. Taylor was responsible for reporting on university athletic events and writing opinion columns for the sports section.
Taylor graduated from Northern Illinois in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, and received his Master's in Sport Management in 2012 from Western Illinois.
