Chicago, Ill.- Five new members of the prestigious UIC Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted at the 2008 Reunion and Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday, January 18 at The Carlisle in Lombard, Ill.
Former baseball players Curtis Granderson and Ron Christopher, women's basketball star Penny Armstrong, acclaimed gymnast Roger Wojtkiewicz and track and field standout Liz Crowder comprise the UIC Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2008.
Tickets for the event are being sold for $35 each. In addition to the ticket to the Reunion and Hall of Fame Banquet, UIC Athletics will provide two (2) complimentary tickets for the UIC men's basketball team's game against Detroit at the UIC Pavilion on January 19. The Hall of Fame Class of 2008 will be honored at halftime of the game.
A table for 10 people can also be reserved for $350 per table.
The night begins with a social hour at 6:00 p.m., followed by a dinner at 7:00 p.m. The induction ceremony will start at 8:00 p.m.
The Carlisle is located just off I-88 (Reagan Memorial Highway) at the Highland Ave. exit.
