RECRUIT CENTRAL!
Posted Friday, November 12 at 12:51 p.m.
It was a great day for head coach Howard Moore and his staff on Thursday. Five new Flames were officially brought on board, and the 2011-12 recruiting class is complete. Three standouts from the Chicago Public League, a near seven-footer that is a near-perfect fit in the Swing Offense and a high-major recruit from Dallas that will fight for a starting spot right away. Pretty impressive for a staff that didn't start at UIC until early September.

PITT UPDATE: FLAMES PRACTICE AT PETERSEN CENTER
Posted Tuesday, November 9 at 7:54 p.m.
The UIC men's basketball team arrived in Pittsburgh late Tuesday afternoon, and then practiced from 6:30-8:30 (EST) at the Petersen Center.
Every seat on the plane was accounted for, but the Flames definitely stole the show. At the conclusion of the flight, the team was recognized and wished good luck. Then, redshirt junior Matt Bush was singled out by the Southwest Airlines staff -- Tuesday's flight from Chicago to Pittsburgh marked the first flight Bush has ever been on. His teammates willingly took the opportunity to let the flight attendants in on the news before take-off.
We'll have a live blog on both the front page of UICFlames.com and on "Flame Throwers" during Wednesday's game, so stay tuned.
