The UIC baseball team received a stellar outing from Jack Andersen and defeated Milwaukee, 5-3, at Curtis Granderson Stadium. UIC swept the Panthers for its third Horizon League series sweep of the season. The Flames’ victory over Milwaukee was their eighth straight.

- Andersen started for the Flames and allowed just one run on eight hits over seven innings. He had 13 appearances and 12 starts for UIC this season with 18 strikeouts over the course of 57.0 innings.
- Andersen finished the season strong by picking up two wins in his final four starts, while giving up a mere five earned runs in 20 2/3 innings.
- Alex Jurich had two hits and drove in two runs in the victory over the Panthers and finished the season leading the league in RBI with 46.
- Jurich was named to the All-Horizon League First Team as a catcher and was a Conference Player of the Year candidate.
