Waszak was a part of seven school records during the 2012 campaign, including setting the individual school standard in the 200 butterfly, 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle.

The men's and women's indoor track & field teams each had two student-athletes named to the All-Academic Teams. Seniors Brian Denk (3.55/History) and Matt Zaluckyj (3.5/Teaching of Math) both collected the honor on the men's side, while Denisenko and senior Kellie Schuh (3.29/Biology) were recognized as UIC's women's track & field All-Academic selections.
